Abel Brainz Digest, Vol. 77 - June 2025
Happy June!
Happy (belated) Father's Day to my fellow Dad's out there! Let's get to it.

Your Favorite Improv Jam is happening on Thursday, June 26th at 8pm at St. Paul UMC. Come out and play (or just watch) and get notes. Not on watching. That'd be weird.
Your Favorite Improv Class is in its second session and you can watch them at the jam.
If you're interested in the next session, click HERE to fill out the info/interest form.
Here's the schedule for (most likely) the rest of the year:

more cool improv (and acting) stuff
If you're an actor and are curious how improv principles and techniques can help your approach to scripts/scenes, then sign up for the 2 day Improv for Actors Intensive at Drama Inc. Thursday June 26th and Friday June 27th from 11am-3pm.
cool reading stuff
Finished James - Absolutely amazing.
Almost finished with America, Let Me In: A Choose Your Immigration Story. It's hilarious, and educational! Por ejemplo, did you know that United States Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) was first under the Department of Labor, and then the Department of Justice? It was only until the 21st century that the USCIS was put under the Department of Homeland Security. See? Educational.
cool movie and tv show stuff
Pee Wee as Himself - heartbreaking and inspiring. A true talent gone way too soon.
The Pitt - Holy intubation, Batman. What a show. Noah Wyle was supposed to reprise his role as Dr. Carter from ER and apparently the Crichton estate nixed the idea. Boo. It still makes for a great show. WARNING: if you're sensitive to kids in danger or any kind of reminder that we are mortal beings, and the world is a scary place, please be prepared.
Hacks - Another HBO, aka HBOMAX, aka MAX, aka HBOMAX show. Solid comedy that is never preachy and just plain funny. Jean Smart kills it.
That about wraps it up!
