The World Cup has come and gone. Billions of people connecting in joy. I hope you all continue to find half as much joy as this little guy.

cool (?) osmosis stuff

As I have never claimed to be good at writing, something comes along and lets me embrace my amateur status. Click HERE to read how Mr. Torres somehow gets in my brain about many things. Maybe not verbatim, but pretty darn close.

cool improv stuff

cool movie stuff

I enjoyed Remarkably Bright Creatures. I read it a couple of years ago and the film was a very solid adaptation. Sally Field is still flexing those acting chops!

cool reading stuff

Travels with Charley by John Steinbeck was excellent. It lulls you into a road trip story and then it becomes an astute self-reflection and observation of the shortcomings of this country. And, you guessed it, most of the stuff he brings up is still applicable today.

I was listening to The Wedding People by Alison Espach and am enjoying it so far. Had to return it though.

I’m really enjoying Martyr! by Kaveh Akbar despite the heaviness.

I’m also reading Hard-Boiled Wonderland and The End of The World by Haruki Murakami.

Lot of strands to keep track in the old duder’s head.

more cool improv stuff

¡Risas y Mas! is on September 22nd. What is it? It’s a labor of love celebrating Latine/Hispanic comedy and creativity. It’s in collaboration with Dad’s Garage and Nuestra Creacion and I’m honored to be a part of it!

Let me know what you’re reading, watching, etc.

That wraps it up for me.
